Our Missions

We are a congregation who gives of our time, talents, and treasure. In addition to our church’s outreach activities, we also support the following outreach activities and missions through volunteering and financial giving:

Shared Blessings Community Food Pantry, www.danvilleumc.org/shared-blessings
A local food pantry located at Danville United Methodist Church serving residents of Hendricks County. Our congregation provides support to the pantry through volunteer hours as well as year-round collection of food donations.

Project Homeless, www.projecthomelessindy.org
Ministry providing food, clothing, and other necessities to the homeless in the greater Indianapolis area. Our congregation along with several other local congregations provide support to this ministry through volunteer hours as well as year-round collection of clothing and donations of other necessities.

Kairos Prison Ministry of Indiana, www.kairosofindiana.org
Prison witness ministry undergirded with prayer providing support to prison residents and their families. Our congregation along with many congregations across the state provide support to this ministry through volunteer hours and prayer.

Sheltering Wings, www.shelteringwings.org
Provides emergency housing, life skills training programs, and personal prevention development to survivors of domestic violence. Support is provided through volunteer opportunities as well as various ways of donating goods or finances.

Transitional housing and job training community offering veterans and families in need a hand up instead of a hand out.

Wheeler Mission, www.wheelermission.org
Homeless shelters in Indianapolis and Bloomington providing housing, addiction recovery, vocational skills, and other services. Support is provided through volunteer opportunities as well as various ways of donating goods or finances.

Mountain Mission School, www.mmskids.org
Campus in Grundy, Virginia providing housing, education, and church to at-risk children from around the world. Our church has participated in several mission trips at Mountain Mission School and one of our congregation members serves there as a missionary.

Strong Missions in Costa Rica, www.strongmissions.org
Organization which works with communities in Costa Rica to break the cycle of poverty while gaining basic resources necessary to sustain a healthy life. Strong Missions works with youth through karate, dance instruction, and Biblical education. Strong Missions also works with community leaders, offers entrepreneurial training for women, assists with construction projects, helps with community gardens to feed the hungry, and coordinates a Food for Families program. Our church has participated in several mission trips at Strong Missions, serving and participating in their community programs.
