Favorite Quote: “Be Still” (Pastor Brenda Burnworth)
Favorite Scripture: Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”
I was raised in a Christian home and accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior at church camp when I was in the 7th grade. I did not feel the call to ministry until my adult years while serving as a Preschool Director. I was ordained a Deacon in 2010 while serving at another church and began my ministry here at Bartlett Chapel in 2013.
God has given me a passion for teaching children of all ages, from babies to young adults, about His love for them. I find hope and excitement in spending time with the young ones of our church.
My husband Kevin and I have 3 grown children: Brenden (married to Natalie), Karlee (married to Bruce), and Carissa. We have 2 step-grandkids, Makayla and Bruce Jr., 1 grandson, Jet, and identical twin granddaughters, Holland and Parker.
Kevin and I love to travel, especially to Colorado to see Brenden and Natalie and the beautiful mountains, as well as all over the US and Costa Rica. We love to hike, read, and spend time with family.
Favorite Food: Caprese Tomato Salad, Crème Brulee
Favorite Music: I love to listen to my sons play musical instruments: Sam on the french horn and mellophone, Aidan on the saxophone (proud band parent!)
Favorite TV Show or Movie: If it’s just me watching, I enjoy anything with Julie Andrews. If I’m watching with my family, I enjoy any of the Marvel series (movies or TV shows).
Favorite Quote: “You must ask for God’s help. After each failure, ask forgiveness, pick yourself up, and try again.” (C. S. Lewis)
Favorite Scripture: Isaiah 40:31, “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
My time at Bartlett Chapel began in October 2016, when our family began attending worship here. I have had the privilege to serve the congregation as the office administrative assistant since May 2019. My husband, Casey, and I have two sons, Sam and Aidan, and we live in Brownsburg. We enjoy spending time with extended family, walks/hikes, bike rides, playing board games, and doing puzzles. I call the Midwest home. I was born in Chicago, and have lived in Illinois, Nebraska, and Indiana. I’m a “PK” (pastor’s kid) and an IU grad. I enjoy reading, drawing, and doing calligraphy. I live with celiac disease, which led me to understand my personal relationship with God in a new way.
