our staff

Favorite Food: I like to eat around food. I can find something to eat in any food category, but I could eat Mexican every day.

Favorite Music: I am a Beatles nut!

Favorite TV Show or Movie: I like comedies (usually 'so stupid it's funny'). I loved the Naked Gun movie series and Monty Python.

Favorite Quotes: "We don't have souls. We are souls. We have bodies." (C. S. Lewis)

Favorite Scripture: Psalm 139 is my favorite psalm (lays out God's credibility and expresses every person's value), but my favorite single passage is Revelation 3:20, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.”

I was raised in a Catholic family. As I got older, I asked a lot of questions, and eventually walked away when my questions were ignored. In college (Louisville - Go Cards!), I was taught about a relationship with Jesus by a Methodist Campus Minister. I accepted Christ at age 19, and almost immediately started wrestling with a call to ministry. After a bit of a delay, I finished my undergrad and worked my way through Asbury Seminary.

I want you (and everyone else) to know that the almighty God of the Universe loves you with an infinite love, and He wants you to be a part of his eternal family! You have value to Him, so it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks or says about you - You matter! If you stop reading at this point, I'd be fine with that.

Annette and I married in 1992. Hannah came along in 1995. She has a genetic disorder (Williams Syndrome - be glad to tell you more in person if you're curious). She lives about an hour away from Avon. Isaiah was born in 2004. He is looking for trade work in Avon.

We are a musical family. I play guitar, and we all sing. Isaiah has written, produced, and released music as an indie artist. His artist name is Fresh McSizzle (don't ask).

Favorite Food: Ice Cream

Favorite Music: Musicals and Christian pop

Favorite TV Show or Movie: So many favorite movies… Pink Panther, Night at the Museum, and Madagascar, to name a few

Favorite Quote: “Be Still” (Pastor Brenda Burnworth)

Favorite Scripture: Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”

I was raised in a Christian home and accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior at church camp when I was in the 7th grade. I did not feel the call to ministry until my adult years while serving as a Preschool Director. I was ordained a Deacon in 2010 while serving at another church and began my ministry here at Bartlett Chapel in 2013.

God has given me a passion for teaching children of all ages, from babies to young adults, about His love for them. I find hope and excitement in spending time with the young ones of our church.

My husband Kevin and I have 3 grown children: Brenden (married to Natalie), Karlee (married to Bruce), and Carissa. We have 2 step-grandkids, Makayla and Bruce Jr., 1 grandson, Jet, and identical twin granddaughters, Holland and Parker.

Kevin and I love to travel, especially to Colorado to see Brenden and Natalie and the beautiful mountains, as well as all over the US and Costa Rica. We love to hike, read, and spend time with family.
